Privacy Policy
This offer is operated by tomis GmbH & Co. KG. The trottr concept is based on the voluntary publication and reception of data and contents on and/or through the audio platform.
The protection of your personal data is very important to us. Where we collect, process or use ("use") any of your personal data in connection with our offered services, such use will be in compliance with the applicable German and European data protection laws.
What kind of data do we process?
We use personal data which you actively communicate to us (e.g. when registering your profile data) and, in connection with your accesses to our services via the internet, the host name of the accessing computer, the IP address, user name, date and time of each access in order to reliably fulfil the requested offer.
In particular, we store and process the following data:
After successful registration:
- the IP address
- the date and time of registration
- a security token which will be transmitted to other Community sites (such as twitter.com, myspace.com) and retransmitted from there to the audio platform only with the Members prior consent.
For telephone calls:
- the telephone number (if not blocked by caller)
- the date and time of the call
- the acoustic message as a voice file (e.g. in MP3 or WAV format).
The stored voice file will be made publicly available and also can be accessed via a link from accounts of other Community sites. You may delete the voice files at any time via the acoustic user menu.
Which data are transferred when trottr is used?
The following status messages will be transmitted in a public or non-public status stream to an account of another Community site registered by the Member (e.g. the twitter timeline in the case of twitter):
A message stating that the Member is registered with trottr. The message will be transmitted once after a completed telephone number registration and includes a link to the trottr.com website.
A message whenever a Member has left an audio recording by dialing the trottr number. The message includes a link to the trottr.com website.
The transmitted status messages may be deleted manually from the update stream at any time.
If any of the aforesaid data are transmitted to a twitter account, the Member will be automatically registered as a trottr follower when leaving a voice message.
Your personal data will not be otherwise transferred to third parties unless necessary to perform the offered service, you have consented to such transfer, or the transfer is admissible under applicable legal provisions.
tomis will not change any registered Member accounts with trottr or accounts with other internet services or communities under any circumstances.
