What is trottr.com?
trottr allows you to send audio messages to anybody around the world. Any time - and from anywhere. All by making a simple phone call. Whenever you feel like it, you can let your friends, family and colleagues listen in on your life – true to our motto: „Hear I am!“
All you have to do is register your telephone on trottr.com. Then start recording your audio messages and making them available to others via the trottr website. Of course you can also transfer your message to your twitter Timeline. Or send it directly via email, or post it on one of your communities.How do I record my audio message?
Simply call the trottr number, record your audio message clearly after the tone, and hang up. Once you’ve hung up, your personal audio message is available via your trottr account. You can listen to it, attach it to an email, post it on one of your communities, or use one of trottr’s extensive range of services. Alternatively send your voice tweet (plus images, if you like) using your iPhone or any other device with a simple email!
How do I delete my audio message?
Just call the trottr telephone number, or when connected to the trottr number, press the hash key. That takes you to the main menu. By pressing three you can listen to your audio messages (including ones you’ve just recorded) and /or delete them. Of course, you can also log on to your trottr account at trottr.com and delete your messages there.
How long can my audio messages be?
You have up to 140 seconds to record your message. If you want to trottr some more, you can register for additional time via your trottr account. Once you’ve done that trottr only ends a message when you hang up, or after five minutes at the latest.
Who can listen to my audio message?
Any trottr member can listen to your audio messages. If you don’t want to allow general access, you can limit permission to selected followers.
If you yourself want to listen to the messages of chosen members, you can register as a follower. If that member grants your request, you’ll find their audio messages in your trottr account under the rubric friends.Can I listen to my friend's voicetweets by phone?
Yes - press the * (star) key during the welcome message. You will then hear all your friend's voicetweets, starting with the newest topic. You can instantly answer to these messages by phone!
How can I contribute to a channel?
For this, you will need the 3-digit channel number. Simply dialup, press the "5" key and enter this channel number - every recordings during your call will than show up in the choosen channel. If the channel has got it's own channel phonenumber, you can call this number directly - no need to enter the channel number in this case.
What does trottr.com cost?
Using the service is free. You only bear the cost of calling the fixed-line network for as long as you stay on the line. Prices for dialling-in from mobile networks vary depending on your provider.
Apart from that there are no additional costs:

- no one-off or monthly feesAre the data and my telephone number protected against abuse?
Yes, because you can only activate your telephone number, or manage and edit your trottr account by means of your telephone number. If you want to register with twitter, then you use twitter’s own registration process.
Can people use my telephone number to trottr even though they’re not authorised?
No, because thanks to registration, your telephone is clearly linked to your trottr account. Only if third parties gain access to your telephone can they publish audio messages via your telephone number.
Of course, you can delete a telephone number, your account, as well as all messages recorded via this number, through the menu or by logging in to your trottr account.Why do I have to activate „show caller ID“?
Show caller ID must be activated, otherwise we can’t match your personal telephone number to your trottr account.
Can I trottr from any telephone?
Yes, you can trottr from any telephone. So that we can match your audio message with your trottr account, you first have to register the call number and authenticate it. You can register up to three numbers with trottr.
In how many countries is trottr available?
At the moment, the service is available in various countries (e.g. Germany, the US, the UK). We’re working on introducing the service worldwide. We’ll list each country trottr.com is available in as they come online on our website.
Can the trottr-service be used commercially?

I’ve forgotten my trottr password. How do I get a new one?
Dial your trottr telephone number, press the hash key to enter the main menu. Then press 7 to request a new password. The system will issue a PIN-number as temporary password to you. You should change this password as soon as possible.
